Overview

Director of Finance role at Driftwood Hospitality Management. Supervises accounting staff, completes month-end closing, maintains balance sheet reconciliations, maintains and supports computer systems, trains all associates in the accounting department, maintains internal audit controls, reviews daily revenue report, and tracks daily cash. Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and supervise staff. Complete month-end close and prepare/review monthly journal entries; monitor preliminary P&L statements and distribute to executives. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and contractual obligations. Coordinate budgeting processes, forecasting, capital needs, cost standards, and related procedures; provide profit planning and expense management guidance. Oversee AR/AP activities, including credit applications, adjustments, and collections where applicable. Ensure accurate financial reporting, tax filings, and government reporting as required. Communicate clearly with staff and leadership; provide direction, monitor performance, and adjust staffing as needed. Support guest satisfaction and service quality through financial and operational oversight. Contribute to talent development within the team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and succession planning. Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure timely submission of required reports. Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance, and hospitality industries; hotel experience required. Minimum 4 years of comparable accounting experience; 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong managerial, analytical, and decision-making skills; ability to meet deadlines and manage large-scale projects. Experience with bank and balance sheet reconciliations; knowledge of journal entry creation. Excellent leadership and communication skills; strong time-management and attention to detail; ability to adapt to changes. Excellent verbal and written English communication; proficiency in MS Word and Excel; ability to prepare complex occupancy reports. Physical ability to perform job duties as required; comfortable with standard office equipment and travel as needed. Benefits
