per month, based on the 2024 Classified salary schedule). New employees begin on Step G ( $5,387.63 ). Step placement is non-negotiable. This position is FLSA

Non-exempt

(may accrue overtime). Benefits provided to contract employees with assignments of 50% FTE or more and all eligible dependents.

Location: San Diego Miramar College • Hours: Monday–Thursday 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department’s needs. Open Until Filled: No.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of paraprofessional accounting work; posting data and making arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy; preparing clear and accurate financial statements and reports and analyzing accounting data; using computer applications including spreadsheets and databases; maintaining interrelated records and files; and operating standard office equipment. The position requires confidentiality and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Qualifications

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Maintain interrelated records and files.

Maintain records and prepare reports.

Operate standard office machines and equipment, including computers and calculators.

Perform a wide variety of paraprofessional accounting work.

Post data and make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy.

Prepare clear and accurate financial statements and reports and analyze accounting data.

Use computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.

Work confidentially with discretion.

Work independently with little direction.

Foreign Degree:

Applicants with foreign degrees must have coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of

NACES

or

ACEI . A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your online application.
