Overview
Senior Software Engineer MDS SW Department – Raytheon. The Raytheon team supports the AN/TPY-2 missile defense program and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department, delivering world class Radar and Command and Control software for surveillance and warning systems. The team follows Agile and DevSecOps principles to enable high-frequency, high-quality deployments. What You Will Do
Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year. Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement. Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline. Potential to travel to CONUS or OCONUS customer sites (up to 50%, 1-2 weeks per trip) for software build installation and support Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada Experience with Script languages (C shell, Perl) Experience using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps Experience contributing to a team environment for developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible Experience working in a CI/CD environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines Experience with Redhat and Linux Operating Systems What We Offer
