Support Engineering Data Specialist
for the C-17 Maintainability and Supportability Engineering team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA and/or Joint Base Charleston SC. The C-17 platform is a mature airlifter; this role helps ensure aircraft reliability and mission capability. This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the specified bases. Position Responsibilities
Supports developing, collecting, analyzing, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications for evaluation and assists with making recommendations. Supports providing recommendations on product supportability and establishing product supportability operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem. Assists with identifying and analyzing logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and reports. Supports determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type. Participates in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems components. Supports reviewing aircraft and fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability. Participates in internal and external technical reviews. Coordinates and participates in process reviews, project management reviews and compliance audits. Participates in internal technical reviews, engineering integration efforts and builds technical reports to assist internal and external leadership strategic planning. Defines and establishes metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives. Supports implementation of management and industry best practices. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution of learning. 6+ years of relative work experience 2+ years of experience supporting the military aviation industry Working knowledge of C-17 aircraft engines and/or C-17 Configuration Control and Maintenance Scheduling Working knowledge of USAF Field Maintenance Command and Control FMxC2 Data Systems Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience in Microsoft Full Suite Applications Experience in Boeing Data/Information Systems Typical Education and Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master, 6 years' related work experience, etc.) Relocation
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. The Boeing Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.
