Sierra7 is seeking a Business Architecture (Lead) to drive stakeholder alignment and capability mapping efforts that underpin VA Office of Inspector General (OIG) enterprise architecture transformation under the Data Integration and Modernization Support (DIMS) initiative. Leveraging the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge BizBOK framework, this role will facilitate discovery, analysis, and modeling of OIG’s current and future business domains. The architect will work closely with the Enterprise Architect Lead, Solution Architect, and agency stakeholders to create business architecture deliverables that provide evaluator-facing clarity, traceability, and strategic insight. This is a TEMPORARY (6 months)

full-time position in the Washington, DC area and onsite work will be necessary. Responsibilities

Lead business architecture discovery and stakeholder interviews to develop capability, value stream, and organizational maps Define, analyze, and document current-state business capabilities and gaps across OIG mission areas Collaborate with EA Lead to align business architecture artifacts with strategic and technical modernization goals Facilitate development of to-be business models, value delivery flows, and capability maturity overlays Map business information, decisions, processes, and stakeholders to technical architecture domains Contribute to development of transition plans and sequencing recommendations based on capability evolution and organizational readiness Translate business architecture concepts into evaluator-ready visual and narrative formats Provide traceability of business goals to proposed systems, platforms, and modernization strategies Requirements

Strong working knowledge of BizBOK frameworks and techniques including Capability Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Information Mapping, Stakeholder and Organizational Mapping Proven ability to synthesize stakeholder input into actionable capability models and architecture views Experience supporting EA modernization efforts in complex government environments Strong visual and written communication skills, including executive-ready briefing materials Comfortable engaging with technical and business leaders to bridge strategic and operational needs Experience using business architecture modeling tools and platforms such as ServiceNow EA Suite, Visio, Excel Experience using collaboration and documentation tools and platforms such as Confluence, SharePoint, PowerPoint Prior VA or federal agency experience preferred Must be eligible to obtain a public trust or relevant clearance Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent (8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education) Minimum 7 years of experience in business architecture, enterprise analysis, or strategic planning within federal environments Prior VA or federal agency experience preferred Why Join Sierra7

As required by local law, Sierra7 provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Sierra7 varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
