Compensation Base pay range:

About the Role We are seeking a strategic and proficient
Senior Production Manager
to oversee production processes in our meat processing facility. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations by managing production supervision teams across multiple shifts, coordinating with internal departments, and implementing strategies to optimize production quality and output. The Senior Production Manager will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. A key component of this role is a proven track record in mentorship and team building.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the production and sanitation supervision teams across three shifts, providing direction, training, and support.
Oversee and direct the forecasting and scheduling of production, ensuring that downtime and changeovers are minimized while still meeting customer orders and lead time expectations. Coordinate with other departments, such as supply chain, quality control, and maintenance.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Use lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to enhance production processes.
Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications and ensure that all yield targets are met.
Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials to optimize production efficiency and ensure our environment meets stringent food safety standards.
Ensure that all production and sanitation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor production metrics and take action to meet yield and efficiency targets.
About You
Progressive supervision experience in a manufacturing environment (food and beverage industry preferred).
The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team.
Familiarity with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and experience with USDA standards (preferred).
Strong decision-making, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, in-person position, based in Detroit, Michigan. This role requires both plant-floor and office presence with flexibility for after-hours support. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000, including quarterly bonuses.
