Overview
Dhaliwal Labs is a growing manufacturer of personal care products seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support the full accounting cycle and administer weekly payroll submission. The Staff Accountant will prepare and record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, support month-end close, audits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and special projects. Responsibilities
Support key Finance functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, and multi-company Payroll.
Perform daily and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Administer payroll system including weekly payroll submission.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ad hoc financial analysis reports, and various audit requests.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in Benefits administration.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support.
Demonstrate strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles.
Demonstrate personal effectiveness/credibility and dependability with a strong work ethic.
Maintain excellent attention to detail and deliver high-quality work.
Work well in a team environment with a track record of delivering sustainable results.
Apply strategic thinking, decision making, and rapid problem solving.
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and have general knowledge of accounting software.
Maintain discretion/confidentiality in handling financial and payroll records.
Lead and manage change; use a systematic and process-driven method of working.
Experience / Qualifications
Proven track record in an accounting role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (or similar) in a manufacturing context is preferred.
Payroll administration experience.
Experience working cross-functionally within a business.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
Position Details This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.
