Overview

LHH has partnered with a private equity management firm to add a Corporate Accountant to their team. This hire will assist with the full cycle accounting functions, consolidation of multiple entities, and special projects within the organization. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting checklists Assist with the consolidation of multiple entities for the purpose of financial reporting Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Collaborate with internal and external resources in streamlining accounting operations, enhancing system efficiencies, and developing/implementing accounting system functions Assist with the research and implementation of accounting standards (GAAP, ASC842, ASC606, ASC450, etc.) Oversee accounting for complex investment structures including subsidiaries, tax blockers, and alternative investment vehicles (AIVs) Implement fund structures into accounting systems and ensure proper consolidation and equity method accounting Monitor and reconcile fund cash flows, short-term borrowings, and intercompany transactions Prepare daily journal entries and ensure accuracy of fund cash activity Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for quarterly and annual audits Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Advanced Degree or CPA preferred 2-3 years of experience Strong work ethic and critical thinking skills required. An ideal candidate will have a knack for problem-solving and applying critical thought when analyzing financials Blend of public accounting and private industry experience preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP required. Additional experience with other technical accounting standards preferred Experience with private equity preferred Willingness to learn and quick to adapt Benefits Overview
