Apex is seeking a skilled professional with strong consultative abilities to serve as Lead Consultant in our Cloud services offerings. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting our Azure cloud capability and service offerings, and providing technical support for Apex sales, solution management, and account teams during scoping of new Cloud migration and optimization opportunities. Responsibilities

Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure focused on Azure (AWS and/or GCP experience a plus) using industry best practices, WAF and CAF frameworks. Implement infrastructure migration methodologies to migrate workloads into Azure. Design and develop automation to support CI/CD and continuous delivery processes. Collaborate with Development and Operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of infrastructure. Understand Azure Database technologies (IaaS and PaaS) to support the migration process, including Azure database migration technologies and refactoring options. Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments. Build monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems to ensure compliance with policies (e.g., HIPAA). Implement secure (zero trust) infrastructure on Azure. Assess clients’ existing cloud infrastructure to identify issues, risks, optimization opportunities, and executable strategies. Create customer delivery documentation such as assessments, implementation and configuration documents, test plans, and runbooks. Lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise. Collaborate with security, IT operations, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions. Qualifications

6+ years in enterprise architecture with 4+ years designing cloud-based solutions, including leading full-scale Azure migrations. Deep knowledge of Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF) and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). Proven experience building scalable, secure Azure Landing Zones; multi-cloud exposure (AWS and/or GCP) preferred. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep) and CI/CD integration. Familiarity with on-prem technologies (Active Directory, VMware, DNS) and hybrid cloud integration; experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Batch. Leadership experience in Agile environments with strong collaboration and mentorship skills; able to communicate complex architectures to technical and business audiences. BA/BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Applicable education/experience may be substituted. Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification required. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Terraform) for DevOps and automation. Familiarity with compliance requirements (NIST, ISO, SOX, HIPAA) and cloud security best practices. Experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments; ability to integrate cloud services with on-prem systems. Experience leading large-scale data center/cloud migrations to Azure; strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to influence others, build relationships, manage conflicts, and maintain professionalism in client communications. Prior consulting experience is a plus. Benefits
