Overview
We are seeking an accomplished
Director of Clinical Engineering
to lead healthcare technology management (HTM) operations at a large hospital system in Zanesville, OH. This individual will oversee the maintenance, compliance, and optimization of medical equipment while leading a team of supervisors and technical professionals.
This is a key leadership role for a results-driven HTM professional who can partner with hospital executives, improve processes, and build a high-performing clinical engineering team.
Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types Annual Bonus
What You'll Do
Oversee the full scope of the clinical engineering program across the hospital system
Lead and mentor supervisors and technical staff, ensuring compliance and performance excellence
Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of diverse medical equipment
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance
Partner with hospital leadership and clinical staff to align HTM with patient care priorities
Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to support operational and financial performance
Ensure compliance with CIHQ, DNV, Joint Commission (JCAHO), and other healthcare regulatory standards
Develop staff through training, performance management, and succession planning
Lead special projects, capital planning, and client relationship initiatives
Must Have
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience managing biomedical services in a large healthcare system
Proven leadership experience with cross-functional teams, including supervisors and technical professionals
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (CIHQ, DNV, Joint Commission)
Experience collaborating with executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders
Demonstrated success in budget management and vendor negotiations
Excellent critical thinking, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
Preferred
Experience leading capital projects and process improvement initiatives
History of developing and mentoring clinical engineering teams
Strong client relationship and communication skills
