Location & Travel Detail:

This is a remote position, which can be based anywhere in the U.S. with up to 50% travel. This position supports our solar projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

Overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the division

Interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Lead, promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures

Develop the strategic plan for the business unit and ensure its implementation

Responsible for the overall profitability of the division

Achieve client satisfaction goals as outlined in the strategic plan

Recruiting, hiring, training and retention of division employees

Overall relationship management with key vendors, owners and clients

Coordinate with Safety Director on jobsite safety issues

Resolve conflicts with subcontractors, materials, contracts and trade issues

Coordinate with staff to maintain open communication, monitor progress, schedules and subcontractor performance, and oversee field operations

Mentor and supervise Project Managers and Field Superintendents; provide ongoing performance feedback and annual appraisals

Contribute ideas and help implement new policies and procedures

Consult with SVP/EVP/President and other management on business continuity and succession planning

Serve as a member of the Executive team and participate in leadership meetings

Attend trade shows and conferences on management and construction topics

Visit jobsites on an ongoing basis as needed

Other duties as requested by SVP/EVP/President

Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements

15 years of construction experience in large industrial construction companies or similar/related industries (renewables construction, electrical construction, vertical construction)

Previous experience in renewable energy/EPC construction preferred

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Deep understanding of strategic planning, organizational development, and operational excellence within the construction and renewable energy sectors

Firm grasp of financial management, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance in large-scale infrastructure projects

Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire, influence, and align cross-functional teams toward a shared mission

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building trust and driving collaboration across all levels of the organization

Proficient in change management, conflict resolution, and coaching for performance and career development

Ability to cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Ability to mentor and develop emerging leaders, creating succession pipelines and fostering long-term employee growth

Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans that deliver measurable results in project execution and team engagement

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Viewpoint and Construction Software

Working Environment

When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions

This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
