The Augmented Reality (AR) Team’s mission is to give people superhuman abilities by making information instantly and intuitively accessible. The motion tracking team is responsible for the foundational world-sensing technology that enables devices to track and understand their surroundings using on-board sensors in real-time for the AR ecosystem and applications. The Calibration and System Test (CaST) team designs and deploys the critical test and calibration solutions that ensure our hardware works flawlessly at scale. We are the bridge between R&D and high-volume production, creating robust, automated systems that are the backbone of our

factory process . Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain custom automation solutions for calibrating and testing AR modules in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Perform

hands-on work

to build, integrate, and validate robotic work cells, including setting up

robot arms , end-effectors, sensors, and control systems. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on the factory floor to minimize downtime and maintain production quality. Collaborate with hardware engineers to provide feedback for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). Create and maintain detailed documentation, station qualifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing partners. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field. Proven experience in a manufacturing or

factory environment , with a strong understanding of production processes. Hands-on experience with industrial or collaborative

robot arms

(e.g., Epson, Universal Robots). Solid background in both

electronics and mechanical

systems, with the ability to read schematics, debug circuits, and work with CAD models. A willingness to engage in

hands-on work , including system assembly, wiring, and on-site debugging. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant technical field. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Familiarity with industrial communication protocols. Experience taking a complex automated system from initial concept to successful mass-production deployment. Ability to work effectively with overseas contract manufacturers and vendors.
