work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View, CA office 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days. What You Will Do

As part of the ESPS organization, deployed in a cell engineering team, you will act as a battery cell modeling engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market. Develop full order, physics-based electrochemical-thermal models for current and future generations of battery cells. Support analysis of test data to understand aging and performance; develop simplified models from these insights. Guide experiments to establish optimal test procedures for improved model calibration and accuracy. Translate complex physics into simplified, reduced-order models. Support development of RC models for usage in control algorithms. Link cell-level models to pack-level performance, incorporating cell-to-cell variations. Develop techniques to improve model accuracy across eVTOL operating conditions. Develop battery life models (predicting capacity loss, resistance rise, pressure changes). Support problem-solving activities and system trade studies for cell format selection; guide decisions on cell chemistry and design, and overall system design based on modeling and test results. Develop simplified methods to correlate model parameter changes with temperature and battery age across various aging conditions. Requirements

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; PhD highly preferred. 3+ years of hands-on experience in battery, energy storage modeling and battery data analysis. Deep understanding of Lithium-ion battery technologies. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB/Simulink, with experience in data manipulation, physical modeling, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Experience with modeling/simulation tools including COMSOL, PyBAMM, GT-Autolion, etc. (note: retain exact names if known). Experience working with large datasets, performing statistical analysis, and using data visualization tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret and analyze complex datasets. Compensation And Benefits

In addition to a great work environment and the opportunity to contribute to electric autonomous flight, Wisk offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary, annual bonus, long-term incentive, 401(k), health benefits, and more. Job Type:

Full-time Pay Range: $165,588 - $194,810 per year. The starting base salary within this range varies based on location and relevant experience. Equal Opportunity and Additional Information
