Responsibilities As a Human Resources Director, you will lead primarily retail HR activities for the Maison across North America. Areas of focus: Development and Retention, Employee Relations, Reporting and Analysis. Support, mentor and counsel managers across the retail network and in HQ as needed. This critical role will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of generalist HR activities, ensuring alignment with CELINE's business objectives and fostering a high-performance culture. The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing expert guidance, coaching, and support to drive employee engagement and optimize business performance across North America.
Your Impact Compensation & Benefits/Payroll/Budget/Data Reporting
Lead the management of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans – partnering closely with the Finance team, brand leaders, and Director of Operations.
Direct the strategy to ensure employee compensation is in line with budget and external benchmarks; perform market research as needed.
Oversee the annual ICR process.
Provide strategic guidance and support for Leave of Absences and Worker Compensation.
Employee Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations issues, providing expert guidance and resolution. (Compliance, Policies, Conversations, documentations for all markets, US and Mexico)
Oversee the management of harassment claims, conduct investigations, and mediate contentious situations.
Direct the management of performance improvement plans, involuntary terminations, and lawsuits.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment and safety laws.
Partner with legal counsel on employee relations escalations, providing strategic oversight.
People Development
Spearhead initiatives to continuously upgrade the onboarding process with a focus on Employer Branding.
Act as a strategic partner to managers, guiding and supporting people decisions
Develop and execute workforce plans to support the strategic direction of departments and future business needs.
Lead the execution of programs that drive the development of high-potential employees – utilize LVMH & Fashion Group offerings when appropriate.
Oversee the management of Organization Management Review (OMR) efforts.
Oversee the management of the annual Performance Review (PCR) process.
Learning & Development
Implement learning and development activities to increase the skills of your population.
Provide strategic oversight for administrative support for registration, enrollment, and attendance of Learning and Development initiatives.
Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities in partnership with Talent Development
Direct ongoing efficacy and analytics of all programs/participants to shape existing & new programs.
Talent Acquisition
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support managers at the corporate and store level on how to effectively source and assess talent, engage & develop teams.
Provide key partnership in the compensation approval & staffing requisition process.
Work with leadership to identify proper organization structures, proficiencies, and processes.
General
Liaise with Maison Human Resource teams in Europe and LVMH Inc. in the US to ensure alignment on HR strategies and initiatives.
Ensure the proper communication and interpretation of all Human Resources policies and procedures.
Build effective relationships with internal and external resources.
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
Design and implement employee retention strategies.
Competencies
Deep understanding of labor laws for US and Canada and demonstrates strong HR sensibility and critical thinking.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented, highly organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership and retail associates
Ability to travel
Profile
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
Proven experience in managing and developing HR teams.
Expert knowledge of labor laws for US and Canada; strong HR sensibility and critical thinking.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
Superior organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented, highly organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership and retail associates.
Ability to travel.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Compensation & Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $170,000 - $200,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
