Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership: Serve as a key member on Hospice Leadership Team; Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with hospice goals and values; Advise leadership on workforce planning, succession and organizational development; Champion diversity, equity and inclusion across all HR practices Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for clinical and non-clinical staff; Collaborate with department heads to ensure staffing meets patient care needs; Maintain job descriptions and support credentialing and licensing compliance Employee Relations and Compliance: Manage employee relations, investigations and conflict resolution; Ensure compliance with employment laws, hospice regulations (e.g., CMS, OSHA) and internal policies; Serve as point of contact for grievances, disciplinary actions and performance management Training and Development: Coordinate mandatory training (e.g., HIPAA, infection control, end-of-life care standards); Support professional development and continuing education initiatives; Facilitate leadership development and coaching for managers Compensation and Benefits: Administer payroll, benefits and leave programs; Conduct market benchmarking and recommend compensation adjustments; Oversee wellness programs and employee assistance initiatives HR Operations and Reporting: Maintain HRIS and personnel records in compliance with data protection laws; Prepare HR metrics and reports for leadership and regulatory bodies; Lead audits and ensure readiness for accreditation reviews Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of HR staff (e.g., HR Coordinator, Recruiter); Collaborate with Volunteer Services and Education departments Preferred Attributes: Empathy and emotional intelligence; Ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion; Commitment to hospice philosophy and values; Leadership: Organizational leader in new work practices and policies Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field (Masters degree and/or HR certification preferred) 3-5 years in HR leadership, preferably in healthcare or hospice Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and organizational skills Employment law, healthcare compliance and HR best practices Key Qualifications (Summary)
