Patient Care Support Associate
is essential to ensuring our clinic operates smoothly, providing support for efficient and effective patient care. Responsibilities include managing patient registration, verifying insurance, collecting co-payments, and scheduling diagnostic and follow-up appointments, as well as answering phones. Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Location:
540 and 420 Nell Blvd., Las Vegas, NV. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding customer service to all patients and visitors. Greet patients upon arrival and manage their wait times effectively. Complete check-in processes including insurance verification and copying necessary documents. Collect patient payments (co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles) and provide receipts. Handle the cashier box and perform daily deposits in line with company policies. Process walk-in patients and visitors efficiently. Answer phone inquiries, assist callers, schedule appointments, and verify visit types and primary care providers. Manage medical records, ensuring they are accurately maintained, filed, and prepared for scheduling. Scan and file correspondence, process medical record release requests, and maintain appropriate logs. Oversee waiting room cleanliness and ensure all patients receive assistance. Collaborate with back-office staff to facilitate smooth patient flow. Address service issues and complaints, escalating to management or clinical staff when necessary. Support coworkers and team members by assisting with various duties, including floating to other areas when needed. Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, employees, and the public. Previous experience handling medical insurance. Proficiency with EMR computer applications. Knowledge of medical terminology. Understanding of general office procedures. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, dependent on various factors, including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
