Role Description / Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role located in Fort Wayne, IN for an Aerospace General Manager. The Aerospace General Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in production and engineering support. Responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating with clients and suppliers, developing and implementing strategies for operational excellence, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards. Oversee day-to-day operations across all business functions, including sales, procurement, logistics, and program management Develop and implement strategies to expand our footprint in the aftermarket defense market Manage government and military contracts, ensuring compliance with defense regulations and customer expectations Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, cost-effective solutions for spare parts, MRO support, and kitting services Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, OEMs, and defense contractors Develop relationships and grow operations with existing customers Forecast revenue and operational performance, identify risks, and ensure profitability targets are met Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability and team development Collaborate with executive leadership to align business strategy with long-term growth objectives Qualifications

Proven experience in aerospace or defense, with a strong focus on aftermarket support 5–10+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a GM or Director-level role Deep understanding of the DoD supply chain, foreign military sales (FMS), and ITAR/EAR compliance Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred) Experience with ERP systems, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives Leadership and team management skills Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industries Knowledge of inventory control and kitting processes Proficiency in project management and strategic planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with EMI shielding solutions is a plus Seniority level
