Insurance Defense Attorney - Tampa, FL A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Tampa office. The firm represents insurers, corporations, and self-insured entities in a wide range of defense matters, including general liability, premises liability, auto negligence, product liability, and complex commercial claims. Salary & Benefits: Base salary range: $110,000 - $150,000, depending on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) Covered CLE, bar dues, and malpractice insurance Ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Florida 2+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Experience in motion practice, depositions, discovery, and court hearings Ability to manage an active caseload with minimal supervision Trial experience is a plus but not required Responsibilities: Defend clients in civil litigation and insurance defense matters Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses Prepare for and participate in mediations, hearings, and trials Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy Maintain timely communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams Ensure compliance with client guidelines and litigation reporting requirements
