About the Role
My client is seeking a dynamic
IT Director
to lead our technology strategy and operations from our Tampa headquarters. The IT Director will oversee infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services to ensure technology drives efficiency, security, and innovation across the business. This is a
hands-on leadership role
where you’ll manage a team while setting the roadmap for IT growth and scalability. What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the IT strategy in alignment with business goals. Team Management:
Build, mentor, and oversee IT staff across infrastructure, support, and applications. Infrastructure & Cloud:
Manage servers, networking, storage, and cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP). Cybersecurity:
Ensure compliance, disaster recovery, endpoint protection, and risk management. Applications & Data:
Oversee ERP, CRM, and BI tools; partner with business leaders on digital transformation. Budgeting & Procurement:
Own IT budgets, vendor management, and technology procurement. Policy & Compliance:
Maintain IT policies, governance, and compliance with industry regulations. Project Delivery:
Lead IT projects (upgrades, migrations, rollouts) on time and within budget. Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the bridge between technology and business operations, ensuring IT enables growth. What You’ll Bring
7–12+ years of progressive IT experience, with 3–5+ years in IT leadership roles. Proven track record managing
infrastructure, networking, security, and enterprise applications . Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and risk management. Hands-on experience with
cloud (Azure/AWS) , networking, and cybersecurity frameworks. Familiarity with ERP (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.) and BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Certifications preferred:
CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, Azure/AWS certs . Requirements
Must be
based in Lakeland Area Ability to work
onsite daily
and provide executive presence to the leadership team. Some travel may be required for vendor/partner or site support. Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match PTO, paid holidays, and relocation support (if applicable) Professional development and certifications sponsored Seniority level
