Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated
Senior Software Engineer
with expertise in Java and SQL to join our IT team. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of mission?critical applications, ensure high performance and availability, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and teams to gather requirements and deliver robust technical solutions. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining existing systems. Compensation
$74,000 - $84,000 per year (subject to compensation study upon candidate selection) Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure applications using Java and related technologies Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting Participate in requirement gathering sessions and convert business needs into technical specifications Enhance existing software systems to improve performance, reliability, and scalability Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams such as operations and other IT engineers Adhere to best practices in software development, version control, and continuous integration Design and support EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) including transaction setup, mapping, and troubleshooting Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, QA, DevOps, and external partners Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and documentation Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical leadership Benefits

5+ years of professional software engineering experience Proficiency in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and RESTful API design Strong experience in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) Hands-on experience with EDI systems, formats, and tools (e.g., AS2, FTP/SFTP, VANs) preferred Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, unit/integration testing, and deployment automation preferred Strong skills in system troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning preferred Excellent communication and cross?team collaboration skills preferred Bachelor Degree Required 5 - 8 Years of Direct Experience in Information Technology Required 6 - 9 Years of Direct Experience Preferred Experience in Logistics Preferred Working Conditions
