Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr We are seeking a Solution Architect to support business objectives and technology advancement within key organizational verticals. You will apply thought leadership in modernization, technology advancement, solution design, Cloud adoption, and DevOps. Youll be responsible for highly technical consulting and leadership for software design, best practices, and development technologies. Responsibilities
Under general supervision, designs application solutions and identifies design patterns with emphasis on reuse, scalability, performance, availability, and security. Maintains and publishes graphical design diagrams and relevant architecture artifacts. Understands the enterprise applications architecture design and development best practices. Applies these practices to application solutions and evangelizes them with development teams. Works closely with the Enterprise Architecture area on design methodologies, design reviews, defining best practices, and contributes to conventions and strategies. Receives technical mentoring from the enterprise architecture area on how to apply strategic thinking and plan for the future state. Works with delivery managers to balance rapid delivery of business solutions with sound technical solutions. Provides architectural guidance on cloud migration of existing applications and adoption of native cloud services where practical, to enhance system scalability, resilience, and performance. Assists with the technical evaluation of packaged business solutions and designs any required custom system integrations. Serves as a technical lead on proof of concepts in the domain of expertise. Manages technology advancement of application-dependent platforms, tools, and services. Identifies gaps and proposes application modernization opportunities and application lifecycle management efficiencies. Acts in an architecture role supporting agile teams using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Qualifications
Understanding of application design methodologies and how to apply them to complex multi-tier systems Knowledge of software development best practices Knowledge of modern architectural design patterns Proficiency and experience with Azure cloud technologies. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, or other related field, or equivalent work experience 7+ years of experience in applications development, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant architecture experience Solid architecture/object-oriented design and development experience Use of modern architectural designs in high volume transactional environments Experience acting as a technical lead through a development effort including collaboration with IT and business areas Familiarity with Microsoft development technologies: .NET, .NET Core Experience leading and influencing other technical leaders in the organization Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and the ability to communicate with audiences at varying technical levels Experience collaborating with organizational leaders to build out multi-year technical visions Experience with P&C Insurance is preferred Seniority level
