Overview

Opportunity to join a private equity asset manager with ~$9B in AUM, based in the Greater Boston area. The firm manages a range of investment entities and strategies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Basic Purpose/Function

Senior Fund Accountant, Private Equity Primary Duties and Responsibilities

GAAP Accounting: Manage accounting for flow-through entities (e.g., partnerships, LLCs, S-Corps, C-Corps). Record investment transactions and operating activities. Perform cash management, capital calls, and partner distributions. Monitor receivables and payables; process invoice payments. Conduct periodic closings, post journal entries, and generate financials. Record and reconcile quarterly valuation adjustments. Prepare quarterly investor reporting packages, including narratives. Draft footnotes and compile audit support for annual financials. Identify and communicate changes impacting financial reporting. Tax Accounting

Prepare tax-basis financials and schedules. Calculate quarterly tax estimates and liaise with tax personnel. Maintain and reconcile 1099 data; issue annual 1099s. Update basis and capital gains schedules; post K-1 adjustments and final tax closings. Compile data and narratives for annual K-1 distribution.
