Full-Time Description
The Frank G. Zarb School of Business is inviting applications for an anticipated tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Systems (IS) beginning in the fall of 2026. We are seeking a candidate whose primary area of teaching and research is in Information Systems, with a strong interest in teaching AI and/or Analytics. The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics offers programs in Information Systems, Cybersecurity Management, Business Analytics, and Business Operations & Healthcare Analytics. The Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center supports this mission with state-of-the-art facilities. For more information, visit the department website. Responsibilities
Primarily teach courses in information systems, including IS fundamentals, business applications (e.g., C++, Java, Python, XHTML), database management, system analysis and design, AI, and computer networking at undergraduate and graduate levels. Demonstrate potential for high-impact scholarly activity by publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at academic conferences. Perform other related duties as assigned by the department and school, such as committee work and student orientation. Qualifications
An earned doctorate (or ABD) in information systems, computer science, or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. Demonstrated ability to publish in respected peer-reviewed journals. Demonstrated ability to teach both in-person and online courses with excellent communication skills. A strong desire to work in a collaborative environment, mentor students, and contribute to the Hofstra community. Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates engaging in interdisciplinary work at the intersection of business, machine learning, and human-centered AI. Special Instructions
