Execute difficult electrical engineering work involving supervision of engineers and technicians in the electrical portion of the Construction Program. Ensure projects are appropriately documented; oversee field investigations and inspections as required. Possess a valid California-registered Electrical Engineer certificate (Board of Registration for Professional Engineers). Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and contractual requirements; maintain project schedules and enforce contractual items in construction. Support the Department's strategic goals; lead the branch to drive efficiencies and maintain quality and safety standards. Qualifications

Possession of a valid license as a professional Electrical Engineer issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists is required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle. Appointment contingent on passing the Department of Justice (DOJ) background check. Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required; details below under Special Requirements. Special Requirements

SOQ: 1-2 pages, 12-point font, describing education, training, experience, and skills related to the position; resume cannot replace the SOQ. Provide responses illustrating leadership, strategic thinking, project scheduling, budgeting, and contract enforcement in construction.
