About the position: Cologix seeks a highly motivated individual with strong thought leadership and interpersonal skills to assist with selecting and deploying new technologies in support of Basis of Design requirements for constructing new facilities and retrofitting existing facilities. The Vice President of Technology Engineering will be a technical resource for the President and support peer organizations such as Construction & Operations. The ideal candidate will understand Data Center Infrastructure and customer technology paths impacting site design and engineering. The role includes technical and financial evaluations (e.g., TCO analysis, EOL timelines, MTBF validation), impact on customer reliability, and driving industry-leading SLAs into purchase agreements. A deep understanding of engineering principles and the operation of equipment over its life cycle is required. Exposure to all key aspects of data center site design and engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Security, Fire, Structural) is preferred. What you do daily

Design short-term and long-term solutions for Cologix offerings aligned with new MEP technology advancements. Demonstrate Cologix values to drive excellence, productivity, and customer service; instill these values in direct reports. Maintain a positive, open demeanor; encourage discourse among peers and foster teamwork during change. Communicate technology-related business decisions and rationale to Executive Leadership. Interact externally with OEMs, vendors, and peers requiring influence, negotiation, and presentation skills. Assist with capacity planning, continuous improvement metrics, and collaborate with advanced operations and technical equipment support engineers. Coordinate with Energy Solutions on new power delivery options (e.g., Fuel Cell, NG Generation, Turbines, Recip engines). Manage performance metrics and participate in Operational Reviews to achieve industry-leading SLAs. Engage with customers, vendors, contractors, and building management to ensure high customer satisfaction. Participate in facilities post-incident reviews as required. Work with Construction and Operations to identify long-term solutions addressing evolving technology (AI, Liquid Cooling, High-Density Cooling, power design for densification). Maintain cost-to-build parameters while designing/engineering new solutions for power and cooling demands. Evaluate opportunities to enhance site capacity and efficiency with ROI targets. Apply LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies to improve customer experience, SLAs, uptime, and network availability. Demonstrate project management skills for deployment of new technologies in the Cologix environment. Focus on power cost reduction and cooling efficiency improvements across facilities. Serve as liaison between Construction and Operations and customer-facing teams for long-term technology solutions. Ensure customer support and Operations services meet or exceed established quality and time standards. What makes you a good fit: Qualifications

7 to 10+ years of progressively expanding responsibilities in colocation data center engineering, including equipment design, support engineering for OEM products, or construction engineering duties. Ability to self-manage duties and report progress to senior management on key initiatives. Flexible, collaborative team player capable of supporting multiple organizations and turning priorities into business-driven actions. Ability to translate highly technical conversations for executives to enable key business decisions. Degree in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Ability to translate cut sheets, shop drawings, and ROMs from requirements. Combinations of education and experience will be considered. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Expert understanding of all One Line or Single Line Diagrams. Experience with a broad array of MEP and building design software.
