Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner at Affinity Group serves as a trusted advisor and consultant to region leadership, promoting alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives. This role provides strategic HR guidance, manages complex employee relations issues, and maintains legal compliance while fostering a high-performance, engaged culture for the Region. The Business Partner collaborates with other regions to align Corporate HR practices, strategies, and initiatives. Effective execution contributes to the company’s strategic objectives, supports a positive work environment, and drives the organization’s continued success.
Principal Continuing Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partner/Consultant: Serve as the HR leader for the assigned regions and a trusted partner to the region's senior leadership, providing HR guidance and support.
Support leadership in region-specific organizational development and talent strategies.
Collaborate with the CPO to support corporate HR practices, strategies, and initiatives across the region.
Business Planning Support: Work with the CPO and regional leadership to develop long-term and annual HR plans and ensure alignment with the region's operating plans.
Performance Management: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions; facilitate performance evaluations in line with corporate programs and ensure timely and consistent reviews for regional associates.
Leadership & Development: Partner with the Director of Learning & Development on regional L&D initiatives, identify talent development needs, and monitor program effectiveness and alignment with regional goals.
Workforce Planning: Provide guidance on regional restructuring, workforce and succession planning; assist with promotions and reassignments.
On/Off Boarding: Guide onboarding, discipline, promotions, and terminations with sound rationale and compliance; support managers through termination processes as needed.
Legal Compliance/Policies: Maintain knowledge of employment laws across supported states and promote compliance; design policies and communications to improve relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
Associate Relations/Support/Engagement: Assist employees with HR inquiries and policy explanations; organize engagement events and provide payroll/benefits support as needed.
Project Management/Flexibility: Be ready to work on special projects to achieve strategic HR goals and adapt to evolving needs.
HR Administration: Conduct thorough exit interviews, maintain organized personnel files, and ensure compliance.
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
5-7 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with at least 3 years in a strategic HR business partner or similar role.
Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and legal compliance.
Proven track record in talent development, workforce planning, and employee relations.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred.
Proficiency with HR technology platforms (HRIS, HCM, ATS, LMS eLearning systems).

Working Conditions
Occasional travel ( Typical office hours Monday–Friday (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.).
Exposure to matrixed organizational structure, with fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
