Overview

CooperDouglas is partnering with a well-known home builder for a Director of Finance. As the Director of Finance, you will be a critical member of the finance team responsible for driving the Company’s financial and operational projections. This individual will support the development of new analyses, including leading the evaluation and enhancement of the Company’s corporate model. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and quantitative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. The Director of Finance will also contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting tools and processes used to measure financial performance through evolving market conditions. Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr Additional compensation types

Compensation range $140,000 - $175,000 + bonus Responsibilities

Own and maintain the annual business plans, quarterly forecasts, financial model; perform scenarios analyses and evaluate earnings impacts to support strategic decision-making Lead corporate consolidations and reporting, assist and facilitate the annual business planning and quarterly forecast update process ensuring a high level of transparency and accuracy Provide analytical support to the management team to improve home building operations and to identify opportunities for margin and return on investment improvement in areas such as revenue strategy, community investment structure, and timing and cost reduction Support monthly forecasting and multi-year budgeting processes, including preparing inputs and assumptions, and reviewing financial and operating results to identify trends Analyze financial performance and assist in preparing materials for quarterly earnings calls, Board of Directors meetings and investor relations support Collaborates closely with the Sales and Construction departments in determining optimum production levels in each community as well as mapping production direction within a community Liaison with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Leasing, Asset Management, Investments, and Technology to provide financial analysis and support forecast assumptions Develop models to project liquidity, sources and uses of funds and capital allocation Guides all financial functions and other accounting/operational procedures within the organization Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance/Accounting Experience in Homebuilding, Construction or Real Estate is required Experience with NetSuite, Yardi, is a highly preferred Power BI and Tableau are a huge plus CPA or MBA ideal Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders Detail-oriented, analytical, and strategic thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to partner at all levels of the organization Seniority level
