Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Recruiter
with
mid-level experience
to join our growing team. This role is critical in supporting our mission by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for both
technical and non-technical roles
across various government contracts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record of
high-volume recruiting
in the federal contracting space. This position is a
6-month contract-to-hire role .
Key Responsibilities:
Own full-cycle recruitment for non-technical and technical roles.
Source qualified candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, clearance job boards, internal databases, networking, and industry events.
Screen and evaluate candidates based on position requirements, contract specifications, and security clearance needs.
Build and maintain candidate pipelines for key and hard-to-fill roles, including contingent requisitions in support of proposals.
Collaborate with program managers and leadership to forecast staffing needs and deliver against talent acquisition goals.
Coordinate interview scheduling, collect and provide feedback, and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
Draft, negotiate, and extend competitive offers in collaboration with HR and compliance teams.
Ensure compliance with OFCCP, EEO, and federal contract hiring regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruiting metrics.
Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Qualifications:
3–5 years
of recruiting experience, preferably in a
government contracting
environment.
Demonstrated success in
high-volume recruiting
for both
technical (e.g., software engineers, systems architects)
and
non-technical (e.g., project coordinators, HR specialists)
roles.
Familiarity with
security clearance requirements
and working with cleared candidates.
Strong knowledge of recruiting tools, sourcing techniques, and employment branding.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with government contract transitions and incumbent capture.
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS compliance in hiring.
Prior experience using BambooHR or similar ATS platforms
Salary Range:
Based on current market data for the DMV area in 2025, the
expected salary range
for a
mid-level recruiter
in a government contracting firm is:
During the 6-month contracting period -
$45 to $50/hour
working 40 hours per week
As a full-time employee after the 6-month period -
$75,000 – $85,000
annually, depending on experience, certifications, and clearance level
Hybrid work flexibility – 1 day a week in-office to maintain collaboration.
