Lead marketing and brand strategy to systemically reach high potential talent pools across industries and geographies, leveraging GSB assets and community, to educate and engage with prospective applicants for the GSB. Develop new content marketing programs to tailor and target content to relevant talent pools using new and existing channels, including working with alumni and students to tell their GSB stories, reaching new audiences. Create and lead alumni and student engagement programs, to inspire and scale content creation and virality of content across platforms, above and beyond the reach of GSB direct marketing efforts. Lead team and manage external vendors and GSB stakeholders to maintain and optimize brand messaging and brand look and feel for MBA and MSx programs. Spearhead and oversee efforts to develop clear MSx value proposition and develop custom strategy for rolling out and amplifying its message. Lead team to oversee multiple channels including prospect-facing websites and portals, admitted-student websites and portals, paid and organic social media, digital marketing email campaigns and newsletters, etc. Lead team to manage lead gen efforts, including managing external agencies and ad spend, alongside organic lead gen efforts, to drive quality leads to our outreach events and relevant applications to that program. Work with internal Admissions leaders to maintain consistency and reach of our brand and key messaging in our efforts in the field and across outreach and enrollment efforts. Oversee benchmarking of our marketing practices with others in our industry and in analogs - distilling learning, experimentation and innovation - to inform ongoing strategy. Wire organization with metrics and KPIs to measure talent pool health from upper level awareness, engagement, consideration, application through to enrollment, spotting key trends and developing strategies to course correct. Oversee team to analyze and optimize our tools, content and channels including ad performance, site performance, email performance, and more. Maintain strong relationships with other teams within GSB Admissions, including updating messaging and focus for outreach and enrollment efforts; partner with team leadership to refine segmentation and customer marketing within regions and industries. Oversee PR and media efforts, and participate in industry rankings in tandem with central Communications & Marketing. Maintain strong relationships across the GSB including with the central Communications & Marketing team for content alignment and resharing, and exploring opportunities across the GSB to leverage existing content, platforms and opportunities to extend Admissions reach (podcasts, blogs, magazine, speaking events, etc.). Work across GSB departments to reshare and retarget existing content highlighting the GSB experience. Responsibility for staff including the recruitment, management, development, and retention of staff. Set marketing budget, goals, and objectives in alignment with organizational goals. Qualifications
To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Bring Bachelor's degree and eight years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Demonstrated marketing management skills and the ability to work effectively with decision-makers across many levels of an organization. Extensive knowledge of strategic analysis, customer segmentation strategies and business and marketing planning. Proven track record with branding, integrated marketing strategy, messaging and positioning. Highly detail oriented with strong ability to understand constituent needs and lead teams toward a common goal. Strategic thinking and leadership skills. Excellent project manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated experience presenting to senior management. Ability to motivate, develop and train staff. Prior experience in planning and managing budgets. Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with minimum two days a week in office. Ability to work occasionally evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications
In Addition, Preferred Requirements Include Advanced degree; MBA is preferred. Experience working in talent branding or recruitment marketing is a plus. Experience working in and demonstrated passion for higher education is also a plus. Compensation and Benefits
The expected pay range for this position is $145,573 to $177,137 per year. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as scope and responsibilities, qualifications, budget, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
