Linux System Administrator
Seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to enhance, configure, deploy, and maintain system activities in support of a complex IT environment. Key responsibilities include administering and monitoring Linux systems, OpenShift container platform, and other IT infrastructure. The candidate will install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems, middleware, application software, and system management tools. They will also develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, ensure maximum system uptime, reliability, and availability, and monitor system and application performance. The role requires maintaining and enforcing security standards, access controls, backup routines, and disaster recovery strategies. Automation of routine or complex tasks, coordination with vendors and IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, and responding to and resolving day-to-day tickets and service requests are also part of the job. Minimum qualifications include 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration, 2+ years working with OpenShift platforms, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include 12+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration, 4+ years working with OpenShift platforms, and 2+ years in data center operations.
