Berntsen International is an established Madison WI based manufacturing firm with a solid 50+ year-old business helping customers mark critical infrastructure. Now were scaling quickly with InfraMarker, an RFID + GIS platform that turns those physical markers into smart, connected assets. We are looking for a Product Manager to accelerate the development and deployment of this line of IoT marking products and solutions. What You Will Do: As the Product Manager, you will be the primary lead for Berntsens connected marking products and solutions. Among other duties, you will: Become expert in connected technologies (RFID, GIS, sensors) and the integration of those technologies in traditional marking products. Review product and solution enhancements options to meet market needs Review and identify options for optimal production of embedded technology products Coordinate product development and production with engineering and manufacturing Provide hands-on field testing for products with partners, at test sites, and in pilot installations Act as project manager for initial solution deployments Conduct preliminary revenue and cost analysis and develop pricing models for new products What We Need: A skilled product manager who anticipates customer needs, prioritizes product development and designs packages to meet those needs, and develops the process to deploy those solutions to the target customer. An individual who enjoys project management, taking a hands-on approach to successful implementation and is energized by a new business line. Berntsen and our partners offer a range of marking products for survey, utility, and construction purposes. We need someone who relishes the challenge of turning those traditional products into valued components for a connected world. Preferred Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven track record in Product Management Experience in asset management in related target industries utilities, public works, AEC Understanding of RFID, GIS, and related IoT technologies Strong analytical and solution development skills Strong project management skills Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Extras: Understanding of ESRI Geospatial software platform This is an onsite position in Madison, WI.
