UCAR is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant II to provide onsite support for staff and visitors within the Computational & Information Systems Lab (CISL). This position involves travel and visitor support, requiring a professional demeanor and effective project management skills. Responsibilities include routine office tasks, administrative team support, and tasks requiring independent judgment within established policies. Intermediate administrative skills are necessary for a broad range of tasks.
NSF NCAR's CISL is a leader in supercomputing and data services for atmospheric and geospace science. Its mission is to ensure that research communities have access to necessary computational resources and to inspire future workforce development through education and outreach.

Manage lab travel logistics, including planning, documentation, and adherence to policies. Provide onsite administrative support for staff and visitors, including scheduling, orientation, and office arrangements. Edit and proofread correspondence and technical documents. Support meetings, workshops, and website updates. Handle purchasing, expense reconciliation, and report preparation. Exercise discretion and judgment in routine and complex tasks, working independently and as part of a team. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Proficiency in office procedures, software applications, and travel logistics. Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills. Discretion handling confidential information. Preferred Skills:
Experience with Concur, UProcure, Workday, or similar systems. Benefits:
