Facility Maintenance Repair I

Pay and Hours:

$ 30hr. starting pay - DAY SHIFT - Mechanical experience a plus

Summary:

We are seeking candidates with the following:

Safety awareness, LOTO, follow SOP.

Experience: working in manufacturing, tanks, vessels, piping, pumps, etc... some of these will do.

Skillset: Electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, working with and understanding process flow.

Interpreting drawings and schematics would be great.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, and basic installation of piping and electrical components

Execute basic repairs within the disciplines of welding, electrical work, pipefitting, and mechanical maintenance

Assist senior maintenance personnel with larger and more complex projects

Operate a forklift when required and properly trained

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety standards and facility standard operating procedures

Review and demonstrate understanding of standard operating procedures annually by achieving satisfactory quiz results

Maintain inventory and manage supplies within assigned work areas while adhering to housekeeping and best management practices

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Comply with all relevant policies and procedures

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Zero to three years of relevant experience

Required Certifications and Training:

OSHA 24-hour or 40-hour training with annual updates (will be supplied)

Heavy Equipment Operator Certification (as directed by management)

Forklift Operator Certification

Department of Transportation (DOT) training

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Basic proficiency in welding

Basic proficiency in electrical work

Basic proficiency in pipefitting

Basic proficiency in mechanical systems

Travel Requirement:

Less than 10 percent

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and reaching

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance

Frequent use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation

Must be able to enter and exit heavy equipment safely, operate controls with manual dexterity, and maneuver in tight spaces

Ability to lie on back for extended periods and perform physical repairs

Must be able to perform push-ups, sit-ups, and deep knee squats to demonstrate physical capability

Driving Requirements:

Occasional operation of vehicles including cars and forklifts

Must be capable of operating vehicles with automatic transmissions

Vision and Hearing Requirements:

Near and far visual acuity, peripheral vision, and color vision required (corrective lenses permitted)

Ability to hear and distinguish speech and alarms clearly (assistive hearing devices permitted)
