Brooksource is seeking to network with dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join our Banking client in the Columbus area. The ideal candidate will serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator to ensure teams follow Agile principles, continuously improve, and deliver value in alignment with business objectives. Banking or financial services experience is preferred due to regulatory and compliance considerations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding the team on Agile/Scrum practices and principles.
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-groomed product backlog and ensuring clarity on priorities.
Remove impediments and foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous delivery.
Track and report key Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown, cycle time) to stakeholders.
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile frameworks, values, and behaviors.
Promote Agile adoption and contribute to the growth of Agile maturity across the organization.
Ensure alignment with organizational goals, technology standards, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile coaches to share best practices and drive improvements across teams.
Help teams balance agility with the rigor needed in a regulated banking environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile team facilitator.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
Experience working in or supporting banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise-level Agile transformations.
Understanding of banking technologies, compliance standards, and risk management practices.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and integration with Agile delivery.
