Base pay range $132,000.00/yr - $264,000.00/yr Position Summary As the Director of Emerging Sales (Food), you will define and drive Walmart Connect’s growth strategy for the Food vertical. You’ll lead a team focused on building new partnerships, expanding revenue streams, and developing sales strategies that connect food brands with Walmart’s extensive customer base. Your leadership will be essential in shaping how Walmart Connect brings innovative, omnichannel solutions to market for our Food partners. What you’ll do
Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Food vertical within Walmart Connect, focusing on emerging sales opportunities. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team of Sales Managers dedicated to food advertisers and suppliers. Build strategic relationships with CPG food brands, agencies, and emerging partners to unlock new revenue channels. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform product and partnership strategy. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Category, and Operations teams to deliver best-in-class solutions. Own and exceed revenue targets, pipeline growth, and partner satisfaction metrics. Represent Walmart Connect at industry events, conferences, and client-facing meetings. Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate performance and continuously optimize sales approaches. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred. 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships in the Food/CPG, retail media, or advertising industry. Proven track record of building and scaling high-impact sales teams. Demonstrated knowledge leading a mid-market food advertising sales group. Demonstrated experience with digital advertising products, omnichannel sales, and brand partnership development. Deep understanding of the food category, market trends, and competitive landscape. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with proficiency in leveraging data for decision-making. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in or with Fortune 100 companies. Familiarity with Walmart’s business and retail media products is a plus. Leadership experience in a matrixed, fast-paced environment. Details
