Local growing top workplace and looking for an experienced purchasing professional to join our team and take the lead on our purchasing activities and centralize company buying processes to optimize cost, maintain quality, leverage relationships necessary to support growth.
Role will be responsible for overall organizational procurement activities, process implementation, setting strategy to support growth.

Position will be Responsible For:
Lead all buying/sourcing activities to support contract manufacturing operations: Machining, Stamping, and Fabrication including raw materials (metal sheet, bar, coil stock), components, tooling, VMI Assist in monitoring, managing, reconciling inventory levels and transactions for accuracy; establishing responsible, proactive purchasing practices. Supplier evaluation, relationship development for quality, accountability, and to identify cost reduction, and contract negotiation Proactive steel, metal market trends and internal demand analysis to support sales and operations teams Develop, maintain accurate purchasing and payment records Lead discrepancy resolution to support operations, accounting Assist in purchase requests for general office supplies or other miscellaneous company needs Requirements
Required:
5 or more years' progressive experience in a manufacturing, and metals procurement role Prior experience centralizing purchasing functions, and installing or improving on best practices Strong interpersonal, negotiation skills Detail orientated, strong follow through Aptitude for numbers, analysis, and process improvement Strong ERP skills, aptitude Preferred:
Prior experience supporting an ERP implementation, any Epicor experience is a plus BS/BA Degree (Supply Chain, Operations, or Business preferred) CSCP, CPIM (or other APICS) certification Experience in a purchasing role in the contract manufacturing industry strongly preferred
