We are scaling up investments under the new Originate to Share model, with a planned increase from about $8 billion to $19 billion in annual financing. We have reorganized to create the Financial Solutions, Mobilization, and Asset Sharing (FSM) Department to support the Industries and Regions teams in structuring transactions, mobilizing assets for investors, and managing the equity business. to strengthen the Trade, Supply Chain and Commodity Finance (TSF) area. This pool enables rapid response to new business needs with pre-vetted professionals. Ideal candidates will have robust financial and credit analysis skills with expertise in short- and long-term Trade, Supply Chain and Commodity Finance products. Pool members will contribute to origination, structuring, execution, and monitoring of innovative financial solutions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders. What you’ll do
Senior Associate responsibilities Provide leadership and support the four TSF product functions: New Product Creation, Advisory Sales, Implementation and Retention, and Trade Asset Management. Conduct data gathering and in-depth analysis on moderate to complex TSF transactions and projects. Monitor and track transaction, portfolio, and agreement performance; prepare recommendations and escalate issues as needed. Perform external analysis of financial, market, and technological trends relevant to TSF products. Take initiative to set up support systems/processes to underpin implementation. Build technical expertise and collaborate across teams to address client/project needs. Officer responsibilities Provide rigorous analysis on complex projects, processes, or financial transactions. Engage with internal/external clients to determine business and product needs. Review deliverables, manage implementation issues, and contribute to client-facing presentations. Develop technical capabilities and expertise in the assigned area. Maintain knowledge of industry and transactions, including lessons learned from projects. Specific Expertise Required
Trade, Supply Chain and Commodity Finance: experience with deal origination, structuring, deployment, and mobilization with financial institutions and corporate clients. Proven capabilities in client retention, TSF product development, and onboarding of counterparties. Ability to generate pricing data and analyses from market information through ongoing contact with partner banks and corporate clients. What you’ll need
Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. CFA/CPA or similar certifications are a plus. Experience: Senior Associate requires at least 3 years; Officer at least 5 years of relevant experience in a financial institution, corporation, investment fund, multilateral development bank, or related private sector entity. Experience with AI and data analytics tools is a plus. Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is required. French and Portuguese are desirable. Requirements
National Staff: eligible to work in the country of assignment without sponsorship. International Staff: no citizenship requirements. Consanguinity: no family members (up to the fourth degree) of IDB Invest personnel. Type of contract and duration International or National staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable by mutual agreement.
