Overview Senior Development Manager role at Leadership Tomorrow, affiliated with Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, in Seattle, WA. This is a senior-level, full-time, exempt position with a hybrid work arrangement (remote with some in-person requirements in Seattle and the surrounding five counties). Base pay range $72,000.00/yr - $99,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Portfolio management: Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 20 corporate partners and prospects annually, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, data tracking, and stewardship. Portfolio management: Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 50 donors and prospects, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, data tracking, and stewardship. Serve as a front-line fundraiser by directly engaging current and potential donors and partners to increase financial support, major gifts, and planned gifts while building long-term relationships and meeting annual revenue targets. Conduct prospect research on potential donors and provide recommendations on donor prospects. Collaborate with LT team in portfolio management reviews and planning. Enlist and prepare Executive Director, board members and LT alumni in the cultivation and solicitation of donors, partners and prospects. Create new ways of engaging with corporate partners and individual donors in line with their priorities. Annual Development Plan
Build and manage the annual development plan, including setting financial and non-financial goals and metrics and managing activities. Work with the Executive Director to manage revenue projection as well as pledges and fulfillments. Collaborate with LT team to establish benchmarks and regular reporting processes to measure results of giving. Relationship building & networking
Nurture and cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with corporate partners and individual donors. Represent the organization at networking and community events as an LT ambassador. Collaborate on planning and execution of fundraising events (3 per year) and campaigns (3 per year). Engage the LT Resource Development Committee (volunteers) and provide updates to LT Board as needed. Fundraising Communications and Systems
Contribute to LT’s donor records in the CRM, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Create donor strategy documents, proposals, briefing memos, stewardship/cultivation reports, and other correspondence as necessary. Identify and implement ways to strengthen LT’s fundraising systems, processes, and capacity. Ensure proper donor recognition in publications and oversee accurate donor lists for those publications. Support the organization in other matters, foster an inclusive team culture, assist with events and activities, and improve team processes. Skills and Qualifications
Passion for the mission of Leadership Tomorrow and belief that community leadership matters. 4-5 years of experience in development, nonprofit, or sales/marketing roles (prospect identification and relationship building). Prior experience in annual giving or corporate foundation relations is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with corporate partners and individual donors. Experience crafting clear, concise funding proposals and donor reports. Commitment to equity and inclusion in line with LT values. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and work under deadlines. Experience designing and executing fundraising events and campaigns. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to collect, organize, and analyze donor data; experience with fundraising software and online giving platforms preferred (Neon and Constant Contact used by LT). Proficient with Microsoft Office and donor database software. Ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds; maintain confidentiality. Flexible schedule including occasional evening/weekend events around Puget Sound. The anticipated hiring range is $72,000 - $99,000 annually, with a quarterly performance-based bonus.
