Brooksource is seeking to network with highly organized and results-driven IT Project Manager to join our Banking client in the Columbus area. The ideal candidate will manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and experience in banking or financial services.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end project management for IT initiatives, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Collaborate with business units, technology teams, and vendors to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
Develop detailed project plans, manage schedules, and allocate resources effectively.
Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to compliance, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards.
Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and scope changes through established governance.
Coordinate testing, training, and deployment activities with relevant teams.
Promote best practices in project delivery and continuous improvement.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
4+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, ADO, or similar.
Familiarity with banking systems, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with core banking systems, digital banking platforms, or fintech integrations.
Experience with core banking systems, digital transformation, or enterprise software implementations.
Working knowledge of data security, risk management, or financial regulatory compliance (e.g., FFIEC, SOX, GLBA).
Vendor management experience a plus.
