AccountabilitiesProgram PLC, HMI & other controls from scratch without assistanceProgram and troubleshoot control systems by working with the assembly and engineering teamsInstruct FSEs in the operation and startup of our machinery and controls systemsEnsure effective communication with customers, product and project managers, and team members in defining system requirements, system operation, and schedule planning while managing multiple projectsProvide support of new and existing equipment by providing on-site or phone support, requires an understanding of our machines and their controls systemsLead machine start-ups and coordination of installation servicesTrain other Controls Engineers and Electrical EngineersRequired functional competencies / experience / qualificationsBSEE with emphasis on controls or systems design or demonstrable knowledge of Electrical and Control System concepts used in our industry10+ years' experience preferredVFD & Servo experiencePLC experience: Proficiency with AB and Siemens required (Mitsubishi, GE, Omron, and others are a plus)Advanced knowledge of industrial networkingUnderstanding of large system architectureUnderstanding of pneumatic/hydraulic controls & designAbility to program robotic controls (ABB, Fanuc, Kuka)Ability to travel domestically and internationally (20-40%)Ability to read and correct electrical prints if necessaryProficiency in Microsoft Office Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
