Senior, Software Engineer Cloud Powered Checkout

From day one, you'll be empowered to do your best work. About the Team: Our Transactional System team develops core systems for seamless omni-channel experiences. We handle high-volume, high-performance checkout services globally, working closely with stores and eCommerce to innovate and improve customer service across various retail segments. What you'll do: Develop Payment Coverage and Payment Resiliency solutions for Walmart's POS across multiple markets. Lead and participate in large projects, translating requirements into technical solutions, developing code, and ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate in small engineering teams to design, review, and implement architectural solutions. Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions. Support business needs by responding to user questions and facilitating solutions. Lead discovery phases for projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams for high-level design. Provide expertise and guidance on best practices, supporting business goals. Build relationships with stakeholders, identify needs, and monitor progress for business solutions. Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards. Lead automation initiatives, improving build and deployment processes, and creating reports and dashboards. What you'll bring: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, with 3+ years of software engineering experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience in scalable web application architecture, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST, and cloud technologies. Experience with high transaction systems and integrating third-party solutions.
