Assistant Project Manager Commercial Interiors & Renovations

Maryland/DC Metro Area Our client, a respected General Contractor with a strong footprint in the Maryland and DC markets, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager to support their commercial construction team. With projects typically ranging from $500K to $5M, the work includes interior renovations, tenant fit-outs, adaptive reuse, and small ground-up commercial builds. What Youll Do: Assist in managing preconstruction activities and construction execution Review project plans, specs, and permits to ensure compliance Help prepare submittal logs, RFI tracking, and scheduling support Participate in subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and coordination Support mobilization efforts and field team logistics Assist in punch list creation and follow-up to ensure timely closeout Build strong working relationships with clients, subs, and vendors What You Bring: 25 years of experience with a General Contractor, ideally on
commercial interiors or renovation projects Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred Solid communication and organizational skills Working knowledge of construction software platforms and project documentation A proactive mindset and desire to grow into a leadership role If you're looking for a
