Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Interiors & Renovations

Location - Baltimore, Maryland/DC Metro Area

Our client, a respected General Contractor with a strong footprint in the Maryland and DC markets, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager to support their commercial construction team. With projects typically ranging from $500K to $5M, the work includes interior renovations, tenant fit-outs, adaptive reuse, and small ground-up commercial builds.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in managing preconstruction activities and construction execution
• Review project plans, specs, and permits to ensure compliance
• Help prepare submittal logs, RFI tracking, and scheduling support
• Participate in subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and coordination
• Support mobilization efforts and field team logistics
• Assist in punch list creation and follow-up to ensure timely closeout
• Build strong working relationships with clients, subs, and vendors

What You Bring:

• 2–5 years of experience with a General Contractor, ideally on commercial interiors or renovation projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of construction software platforms and project documentation
• A proactive mindset and desire to grow into a leadership role
