This is an in-office role (Sarasota, FL) - 5 days/week. Only on-site candidates will be considered. Position Summary:

The Azure Cloud/Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network architectures within Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of cloud-based network infrastructure, supporting hybrid environments and integrating on-premises systems with Azure services. Key Responsibilities: Design and deploy Azure-based network solutions including Virtual Networks (VNets), VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall. Configure and manage Azure DNS, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Gateways, and Load Balancers. Implement secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments. Design and deploy on-prem network solutions including SD-WAN, VPN Gateways, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and availability using tools like Azure Monitor and Network Watcher. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud and hybrid environments. Optimize network configurations for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability. Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls, encryption, and identity management. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies. Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices and incident response protocols. Automate network provisioning and configuration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM/Bicep templates. Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures. Support disaster recovery planning and implementation. Work closely with DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to support cloud initiatives. Provide Tier III support for escalated network issues. Stay current with Azure updates and emerging cloud networking technologies. Participate in on-call rotations or after-hours support as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5+ years in network engineering, with at least 2 years in Azure cloud environments. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in managing Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity). Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI). Experience with Azure security and compliance tools. Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and VPN/ExpressRoute configurations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SD-WAN, DNS, VPN).
