IT Engineer II - Azure Network Engineer designs, implements, and manages Azure's secure and scalable network infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall to ensure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments. Key responsibilities involve optimizing network performance, ensuring high availability, and maintaining network security and compliance. They require strong knowledge of Azure networking services and protocols like TCP/IP. Duties & Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure network components such as VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, WAF, VPN Gateways, and ExpressRoute. Develop and implement cloud-based network solutions, including hybrid connectivity strategies, ensuring seamless integration of Azure and on-premises networks. Work with the development team to define technical requirements, translating into a technical solution to meet business needs. Implement and enforce security best practices, manage firewalls, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies Monitor network performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability. Manage the planning, implementation and operation of network projects from both technical and communication aspects. Support current environment and perform on call duties. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
3+ years implementing and troubleshooting Azure networking platforms. Azure WAF experience Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing core Azure networking services like Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, VPN gateways, and Virtual WAN. Designing and implementing complex routing solutions and application delivery services. Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences; sales, marketing, partners, clients, consultants, executive leaders (internal and external). A strong understanding of private and public IP addressing and DNS configuration in Azure. SDWAN implementation experience a plus. Equipment Experience: Azure Networks Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco) Barracuda WAFs Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience Work Environment
