About the Role:
The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the purchasing processes within the wholesale trade industry / distribution center. This position is responsible for sourcing high-quality products and services at competitive prices to support the company's operational and strategic goals. The specialist will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal departments, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and maintain strong vendor relationships. By analyzing market trends and supplier performance, the role aims to reduce costs while maintaining quality and compliance with company policies. Ultimately, the Procurement Specialist ensures that procurement activities contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization. Candidate must speak fluent Chinese.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the wholesale trade industry. Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent. Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export procedures. Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and implement cost-saving strategies. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume wholesale environment. Must speak English and be fluent in Chinese. Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery time, and service. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous terms. Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Collaborate with internal teams such as inventory management, finance, and operations to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly. Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards. Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports on purchasing activities and cost savings. Stay informed about market trends, new products, and innovations relevant to the wholesale trade sector.
