The Luminary Hotel & Co Retail Supervisor is responsible for ensuring effective store operations and procedures are consistently adhered to. Be knowledgeable and execute the Retail Dept sales goals, maintain and increase personal sales objectives. Be well-informed of all our products and services. Respond to customer inquiries and direct them to relevant resources. Ensure all day-to-day retail operations of the Luminary Hotel complex are consistently and accurately completed. Perform physical inventories, maintain visual merchandising presentations, and ensure exceptional personalized service is given to all guests.

Job Summary
The Luminary Hotel & Co Retail Supervisor is responsible for ensuring effective store operations and procedures are consistently adhered to. Be knowledgeable and execute the Retail Dept sales goals, maintain and increase personal sales objectives. Be well-informed of all our products and services. Respond to customer inquiries and direct them to relevant resources. Ensure all day-to-day retail operations of the Luminary Hotel complex are consistently and accurately completed. Perform physical inventories, maintain visual merchandising presentations, and ensure exceptional personalized service is given to all guests.
Essential Functions
Consistently meet and exceed the Retail Dept. sales goals. Measure and monitor sales performance, take action to improve sales performance when needed. Take ownership of the Retail Dept day-to-day operational assignments designated by the Corporate Director of Retail and understand and communicate the budgeted revenue goals. Operate with a high level of business acumen to understand the business drivers and opportunities, generate solutions. Lead the sales floor and deliver compelling customer service experience that will contribute to building a local clientele. Assist customers and monitor client interaction with the team and technology, provide in the moment coaching for continuous improvement. Gain deep knowledge of Data Works & Micros POS software to ensure completion of all administrative responsibilities including sales transactions, exchanges & returns, creating POs & Receiving, physical inventories, count adjustments, and sales reports. Ability to operate the cash register efficiently and accurately. Validate consistent physical inventories of all stores and storage areas. Report all shortages, damages, and defective merchandise, or any inaccuracies to the Corporate Director of Retail in a timely manner. Perform quarterly inventories using technology/software and post the results. When necessary, lead inventory spot checking and cycle counts. Execute merchandising presentation and visual standards to enhance the customer experience and productivity of the business. Ensure all the merchandise is accurately priced and professionally presented. Provide real-time and weekly feedback on product and sales performance to the Corporate Director of Retail. Ensuring the selling floor always reflects the brand and concept standards, train support staff and develop talent in visual merchandising. Accountable for the training and development of the support teams and provide feedback on performance to ensure business growth and results. Help the Corporate Director of Retail conceptualize and deliver creative content including written, printed, digital, photo, and video assets to the marketing dept. Establish social media marketing strategies and objectives. Understand current culture and areas for improvement, work with Corporate Director of Retail for constant improvement through activations, recognition, and thorough communication.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 5 years Retail Experience required. Experience working with a sales or retail organization and/or operationally intensive business. Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross functional team environment setting. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities. The drive to take on new challenges with self-motivation for continuous personal and team development. The ability to set clear objectives and inspire the support teams to reach their highest potential. Ability to set the standard for operational efficiency, adhering to processes and systems to maximize team and business results, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes. A proactive and entrepreneurial sense of urgency and ability to prioritize important work.
Physical Demands
Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality. Well-developed ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and operate a hand truck dolly, and scanner device. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work for long periods of time, typically 10-12 hours per day during peak seasonal periods. Must be 18 years or older.
Mental Demands
Make sound judgments quickly. Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines. Able to work independently, take directions, and provide directions to others. Manage differing personalities within the office, the hotel and the community. Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality. Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations. Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
NOTICE:
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must always realize this fact and be aware that it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must always be projected.
