Technical Project Manager Transit Infrastructure
Location: Long Island City, Queens, NY Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $120,000 $140,000 Start Date: ASAP Position Overview
We are urgently seeking a Technical Project Manager with transit infrastructure experience, ideally someone familiar with MTA projects. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage transit-related infrastructure projects, including CCTV installations and resource coordination. Schedule and facilitate meetings with MTA and other stakeholders, ensuring confident and professional representation. Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation. Interpret and review technical documentation, including electrical one-line diagrams. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and agency representatives to ensure project alignment. Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation. Identify and mitigate risks, delays, and technical issues. Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards in transit environments. Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, preferably within transit or infrastructure. Transit experience is essential candidates must be able to navigate agency environments and hold their own in meetings. MTA experience preferred. Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Calm, assertive demeanor with excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to schedule and manage complex project timelines. Comfortable working in field conditions, including subway and rail environments. Top 3 Technical Skills
Ability to read or learn to read electrical one-line diagrams; strong technical aptitude. Experience with CCTV systems. Education or training in a technical discipline technical school or bachelor's degree in a technical skillset preferred. Preferred Qualifications
Education from a technical school or bachelor's degree in a technical skillset. Experience with transit infrastructure projects. Project management certifications (PMP, CSPM) are a plus. What We Offer
