As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:
- Access, manage and update patient medical records through Hospital Electronic Medical Record Information System.
- Screen and explain imaging and safety procedures to patients before any imaging procedure to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
- Position patient on imaging table to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body as requested by a Physician and following protocols
- Administer contrast media orally or via intravenous administration according to Radiologist and/or Pharmacy guidelines
- Monitor patients during procedures either through direct contact, by the use of two-way voice communication or through control room window and/or closed-circuit TV screen.
- Practice universal safety precautions, radiation protection techniques and magnetic field education to minimize exposure to patient, self, and staff.
