As a Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:

  • Access, manage and update patient medical records through Hospital Electronic Medical Record Information System.
  • Screen and explain imaging and safety procedures to patients before any imaging procedure to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Position patient on imaging table to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body as requested by a Physician and following protocols
  • Administer contrast media orally or via intravenous administration according to Radiologist and/or Pharmacy guidelines
  • Monitor patients during procedures either through direct contact, by the use of two-way voice communication or through control room window and/or closed-circuit TV screen.
  • Practice universal safety precautions, radiation protection techniques and magnetic field education to minimize exposure to patient, self, and staff.
