Overview


The Regional Account Director is an individual contributor role. The role’s primary responsibility is to leverage Datavail’s strong competencies in Database Administration, Data Analytics, and Application Development and Maintenance – including our Cloud capabilities – to generate new sales. This role focuses on generating new bookings across both existing clients and new logo prospects. The candidate will proactively network within the region across existing clients, target prospects, and market influencers (e.g., Alliance Partners’ regional sales executives) within a defined geographic territory. This is a quota-based role with commissions and will drive new logo opportunities in SMB and lower mid-market segments, partnering with Datavail Solution Architects and SMEs to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities



  • Network, build relationships and establish Datavail’s credibility with clients, prospects and Alliance Partners

  • Follow a systematic approach to the sales cycle

  • Work well across internal teams: business development, sales, solution architects, subject matter experts, project management and service delivery management

  • Drive revenue within a specified region, including some named accounts

  • Generate business opportunities through professional networking

  • Own the sales cycle from lead generation to closure

  • Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal forecasting system

  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual goals and quotas

  • Maintain account and opportunity status in SalesForce.com

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction on all sales and presales engagements

  • Partner with Datavail delivery to ensure high customer satisfaction on contracted engagements and properly escalate issues internally at Datavail


Qualifications



  • 10+ years of Sales experience with at least 5 years’ experience in solution-selling IT services (managed services and professional services)

  • Interpersonal skills, strong work ethic & resilience are key success factors

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapid change environment

  • A proven sales hunter and closer

  • Proven track record of sales excellence

  • Ability to close business over the phone and with travel on an as-needed basis for meetings with prospects and existing clients

  • Superior professional presence and business acumen

  • Experience with SalesForce.com or other CRM
